World Book Night - Book Give Away!

As I have blogged about before, I am a World Book Night "book giver."  I will be giving away THREE copies of the book The Things They Carried, by Tim O'Brien, here on my blog.

There are three ways to enter:
  1. Comment on this blog.
  2. Become a fan of the T. Z. Wallace, Author Page on Facebook.
  3. There’s more! If you share news of this post/giveaway through Twitter, say so in your comment by mentioning your handle.
The winner will be chosen randomly at 11:59 p.m. on April 23, 2011, and the results will be posted that same day.  The books will be mailed to the winners the following day (or as soon as you get back to me with your mailing information, whichever is first).

The remaining books will be donated in a variety of ways.  So far, am thinking of giving a copy to a local literacy program, a copy to the homeless shelter, a copy to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post, but there are plenty more ways to give the books away.  If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them--leave them in the comments section!

  4. I started the book last night, and it IS HAUNTING. The story is amazing, the imagery is unreal...it is one of those books that you stop and find yourself compelled to share with other immediately. I have put down the book only long enougg to call someone and read passages to them because the words are too powerful to rattle around in my head. I have to share them, to dilute them, to relieve myself of them, because the truth is too hard to carry alone.

  5. I don't have a Facebook account, and I don't Twitter. Yet. I'm leaving that to the early birds. :) Still, it looks like this is one I'd like to try. I do run into books like that periodically. They usually end up as 5-reads, meaning I can read them all the way through 5 times without getting bored.

The sad part is that many authors can manage only one before they run dry so I have to go looking for someone else to fill that word-void.

I'm tagging you for the 7-7-7 challenge. Go to my blog (Lauren-ritz.blogspot.com) to find the details!
